Rule 62
Functions, Duties and Powers of the Special Education Council
The functions, duties and powers of the Special Education Council shall be as follows:-
(a) to approve the provision of special education,
(b) To implement the curriculum of special education with the approval of the Curriculum Development Centre,
(c) arranging financial resources to support special education programs,
(d) To determine the procedure regarding the examination to be taken in connection with special education,
(e) Arrange for coordination, management, supervision, control and inspection of special education institutions and schools,
(f) Determining criteria regarding grants to be given to community schools conducting special education.
